They see an accused witch named Jeanne Dibasson being tortured and burned at the stake. The story starts off with an unnamed character finding a necklace called "The Eye", that allows him/her to see the events the necklace was witness for in the past. This album's story tells smaller tales which are linked by a bewitched necklace called "THE EYE OF THE WITCH". King is on top form, with his wails being higher pitched than before, setting a creepier atmosphere. I have yet to mention Andy LaRoque (guitar).he's amazing, on every album. Years later he returns to the house after being released, finding that "THEY" and Grandma are very much still alive.Īs for the Metal, it is again, top shelf stuff. He is questioned by police whilst "THEY" haunt his mind. Or does he? As he runs away, he hears "THEM" inside his head.saying to return to the house. Later, enraged, he lures his Grandma, who was also behind Missy's murder and kills her. It is his sister getting chopped up by "THEM". When he leaves, he hears screams and sees smoke bellowing from the chimney. Voices that get weaker when he leaves the house. The child hears voices due to the blood he is drinking, THEY are taking over his mind. Why? Because her blood was inside of the tea that he has been given by his Gran. He sees his mother and sister, Missy sitting at the table too. She knocks on the child's door asking him to come for tea. The tale told here is of a child who's Grandma (GRAAAAANDMAAAAAAAAAAA!!) that has returned from a stay at a mental asylum. And since the whole album is a contained story, his voice is alot clearer to get the point across. It improves on King's storytelling massively. Time will tell.Īs for the Metal, this album takes everything right from Fatal Portrait and turns it up to 11. Will she return to haunt Jonathan? Vow revenge. His wife is eaten from the inside by ABIGAIL, who is subdued the same way she was years ago. He warns Jonathan that his wife is being possessed by ABIGAIL as they speak. The embryo that slipped out of her, he named ABIGAIL, he had mummified and cruelly nailed to a coffin that is still in the mansion. He killed his wife (who was pregnant with a bastard child) by pushing her down the stairs. After a while however, Jonathan is visited by the Family Ghost. Warned by Black Horsemen to go back whence they came, Jonathan LaFey laughs them off and along with his partner, Miriam Natias, enter the mansion. The story of Abigail tells a tale of a couple who inherit a mansion.
